Green Sleep
Watercolor / Gauche / Prisma Color
8" x 10"
$1,300 (original) or $40 (signed print)
"This highly detailed watercolor painting was inspired by my vision of a dying soldier. I incorporated imagery of life/death in the body of the soldier being lifted upward by the Angel of Death.
"I used watercolor, Gauche, and Prisma to convey the textures and contrasts that seemed to fuel my imagination for this piece."

Red Angel
Watercolor / Gauche / Prisma Color
8” x 10”
$1,200.00
"This painting was inspired by a reddish /orange sunset I saw while living in the Delta region of the SF Bay Area. As I was gazing at a wonderful sunset I imagined (my mind’s eye) a powerful red angel floating above a complex/surreal landscape.
"The painting was completed using bright watercolors and some pencil. After the main forms were painted I detailed areas in Gauche and Prisma colored pencils."

Blue Angel
Watercolor / Gauche / Prisma Color
12” x 19.5”
$1,300.00
"The imagery in Blue Angel appeared to me in a vivid dream. I could not get the image of a powerful and beautiful blue angel rising out of the SF Bay waters out of my mind. The surreal imagery concerns Good transcending Evil forces.
"The painting was completed on thick watercolor paper. I used bright and vivid blue, green and yellow watercolors. After the water colors were dry I detailed some areas with bright Prisma colored pencils."
Somebody Up There Likes Me
Watercolor / Gauche / Prisma Color
6” x 10”
$1,200.00
"This watercolor was inspired by my “guardian angel”. I believe that I do have a guardian angel that hovers over me during the day and night. I have included images from the inner city of Oakland, CA in the background.
"Originally the watercolor areas were painted, later I detailed areas with Prisma colored pencils. In parts of the painting I cut out areas and collaged diverse textures. This gives portions of the watercolor a 3-D effect."
Blue Terrie
Water Color / Guache / Prisma Color
2' x 3'
Price: $2800.00
"I was inspired to create this surreal vision two years after the birth of my daughter. I dreamed of a multi-dimensional female (mother like) figure along side my floating child. The mother and child iconography is very traditional in Spanish art. I was drawn to the color blue and green, colors often associated with creation and even transformation during the Renaissance and even early art from Europe.
"The female figure is very angelic and consists of plants, animals and even other angels. There are hundreds of rendered details in within the figure."
Thunder Child
Watercolor/ Gauche/ Prisma Color
11” x 13.5”
$1,200.00
"My rambunctious daughter named Ramona inspired this water color painting. She was only 3 years old and less than 2.5 feet tall when I painting this surreal portrait of her. The animal imagery and even the Fire Ball image are representative of her personality.
"I used water color and gauche for the initial painting. I added details in Prisma colored pencils and pen/ink."
